ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Olympiakos’ rivals in the Greek league suffered surprise defeats on Thursday, keeping the defending champion a point from the top of the 18-team table.

Leader PAOK lost 3-0 at Giannina on goals from Andi Lila, Nikos Korovesis and Michalis Manias.

PAOK coach Angelos Anastasiadis described the result as a “bad day for everyone at the club.”

Third-place Panathinaikos was also overrun in Xanthi, losing 4-2, with Dimitris Goutas finding the net within three minutes, and followed by Theodoros Vasililakakis, Karim Soltani and Pantelis Kapetanos.

Greece striker Nikos Karelis scored both goals for the Athens club.
