TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A 24-year-old man sought in two Tucson incidents in which people were struck with a stolen car is in custody.

Police say Laine Ogletree had a minor gunshot wound when he was taken into custody late Wednesday at a Winkelman gas station.

According to Sgt. Chris Widmer, officers responding to a rock being thrown through a store’s window Wednesday morning were trying to make contact with Ogletree when he got into somebody else’s vehicle in a nearby parking lot.

Widmer says the vehicle struck an officer as it sped off, slightly injuring the officer who fired two shots at the vehicle.

Widmer says Ogletree also allegedly used the same stolen car to strike a security guard and his vehicle at a Tucson hospital.

The security guard was slightly injured.
