PARK RIDGE, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in Cook County say they’ve arrested a suburban Chicago man who once worked as a tutor for middle school and high school students after finding he possessed more than 1,000 images of child pornography.

In a news release, the Cook County Sheriff’s Department says that 47-year-old Albert Galus of Park Ridge was arrested this week at his home after a Cook County grand jury last week indicted him several felony counts of possession of child pornography. The investigation began in late 2011 after a technician reported to the FBI that while repairing Galus’ computer he discovered a child pornography video on the computer.

Galus’ bond was set at $100,000 on Wednesday. He could not be reached for comment and it was not clear if he had retained an attorney.
