TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an arrest has been made after a man was found fatally wounded in a Tucson apartment complex parking lot.

Tucson police say 28-year-old Jerry Asbury is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder and drive-by shooting.

They say responding officers administered first aid to the victim, who he died shortly after arriving at a hospital Wednesday night.

Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old Donald Laird.

They say Laird lived at the apartment complex and Asbury was there visiting a mutual friend.

At some point, the two men got into an argument in the parking lot.

Police say Asbury was seated in a vehicle and pulled out a handgun and allegedly shot Laird.
