CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Tessa McNally will celebrate the 50th anniversary of her grandmother’s graduation from Southeast Missouri State University by graduating from the same institution herself.

McNally, of Jackson, will graduate Saturday with a bachelor’s degree in education. It was 50 years ago that her grandmother, Karen Donner of St. Louis, graduated in 1964, also with an education degree.

McNally’s focus is on early childhood education. Her grandmother specialized in biology and physical education. McNally’s mother - Donner’s daughter - also studied education at Southeast.
