RYE, N.Y. (AP) - A bomb threat canceled a student basketball game at a suburban New York high school. But no devices were found.

The Westchester County Department of Public Safety and other agencies responded to Rye High School at about 6:45 p.m. According to the Journal News, (https://lohud.us/1APQMae ) someone called in the threat and the 7 p.m. game Friday featuring girls teams from Rochelle and Rye was canceled.

School superintendent Frank Alvarez told the newspaper that the school was cleared shortly after 8 p.m. after bomb sniffing dogs found no trace of explosives.

It was the second threat against the school in recent months; the school was evacuated Oct. 21 after a threat.
