KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A former East Tennessee teacher who was on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s top 10 most wanted list when he was arrested in South Carolina has waived extradition but won’t be returned immediately.

Former Campbell County teamer Lonnie Vann was charged in Horry County, South Carolina, with a Dec. 12 armed robbery at a Myrtle Beach Hotel.

Sgt. Jeff Benton of the Horry County sheriff’s office told the Knoxville News Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1GAt1qt ) that Vann won’t be extradited until he appears in court on the South Carolina charges. He is scheduled to appear there Feb. 20.

A Campbell County, Tennessee, grand jury indicted Vann in July on charges of solicitation of a minor, assault and tampering with evidence.
