MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Twenty-two residents of an assisted-living facility in Minot were safely evacuated when a fire broke out in the building’s attic.

Fire Department Battalion Chief John Hocking tells the Minot Daily News (https://bit.ly/1sOL35R ) that the fire at Edgewood Vista’s Memory Care Unit started shortly before 4 a.m. Friday, and burned some rafters.

The evacuated residents were moved to another Edgewood Vista unit. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined, and a damage estimate was not immediately available.
