BOSTON (AP) - A jury has convicted 29-year-old man of killing three people following an after-hours party in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood in 2009.

The Boston Globe reports (https://bit.ly/1wLou1h ) that a Superior Court jury in Boston on Friday convicted Keron Pierre of murder as well as armed assault with intent to murder for shooting at another woman.

Prosecutors said Pierre fatally shot 19-year-old Anthony Peoples of Boston and Brockton residents Shakora Gaines and Chantal Palmer, both 20 years old, in March 2009.

Authorities say Pierre shot the victims outside the party after being rebuffed while flirting with the women.

Pierre’s lawyer said his client was innocent and another man killed the victims.

Police never found the .40-caliber handgun used in the killings, and there was no physical evidence linking Pierre to the murders.
