BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police say a 26-year-old man has died after being stabbed during a fight with another driver on a highway ramp in Bridgeport.

Troopers on Friday identified the victim as Bryant Kelly of Bridgeport.

Authorities say state police were called to a confrontation between two people late Thursday night on the Exit 5 off-ramp from Route 8 southbound. Troopers found the victim severely injured on the off-ramp and provided medical care, but he died a short time later at a hospital.

State police Lt. J. Paul Vance says troopers questioned the other driver involved in the dispute, but no charges have been filed and the incident remains under investigation. The other driver’s name hasn’t been released.

Any witnesses to the dispute are urged to call state police.
