PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police say a man has died after falling from the roof of a home on which he was working in icy conditions.

Public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the man suffered a fatal head injury.

Officials didn’t immediately release the man’s name, while his family was being notified Friday.

Toler says someone called 911 about 10:45 a.m. to report the incident in the city’s Hazelwood neighborhood.

It was not immediately clear if the man was working on his own home, or was employed by a contractor.
