FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Police have arrested a Fargo man who they say hit an officer in the face and kicked out a squad car window.

WDAY-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1DReit3 ) the 22-year-old was arrested Thursday. He faces charges of assault on a police officer, criminal mischief to a vehicle and resisting a police officer.

Sgt. Shannon Ruziska says officers located the man because he and another person were connected to hitting a mailbox. She says the man kicked out the window after police got him in the squad car. The officer he hit didn’t need medical attention.

Police say they had a warrant for the man’s arrest for a charge of driving under a suspended or revoked license.

He is being held at Cass County Jail pending charges.
