EDMOND, Okla. (AP) - The University of Central Oklahoma has been chosen to host the National Conference on Undergraduate Research.

The three-day conference of up to 5,000 students and faculty will take place on UCO’s campus in Edmond as well as throughout the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The conference is slated for March 2018.

UCO President Don Betz says the conference is an opportunity to showcase undergraduate research as a high-impact practice that effectively encourages and prepares students for careers.

Now in its 27th year, the conference creates a unique environment for students in all fields of study to present scholarly research in a professional setting, interact with their peers and meet with recruiters from businesses and graduate school. Students and their faculty mentors present research through posters, oral presentations, visual arts and performances.
