SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Parks and recreation officials in Sioux Falls have closed the city’s outdoor ice rinks and cancelled sleigh rides at a local park due to the recent warm temperatures.

Jean Pearson with the Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation says rink and warming house hours are subject to weather. Pearson says openings will be announced at a later date as ice conditions improve.

Sleigh rides planned for Saturday at Tuthill Park have been cancelled because of the lack of snow. Weather permitting, rides have been scheduled for Jan. 11 at Memorial Park.
