BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says a trooper hit two pedestrians in a road about 1 a.m. Friday in Bellingham.

The patrol says the trooper was making a left turn and the pedestrians were intoxicated, wearing dark clothing and trying to cross the street against a “do not cross” sign.

The 30-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
