HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) - One of two people accused of killing Anarae Schunk is asking a judge to dismiss the case against her.

Twenty-five-year-old Ashley Marie Conrade is charged with first- and second-degree murder. She and her then-boyfriend, Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, are accused of stabbing Schunk in September 2013.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports (https://bit.ly/1z6GkJ9 ) that Conrade’s attorneys filed papers saying there’s a lack of probable cause and there were “cumulative errors” in grand jury proceedings.

Attorneys also want to throw out evidence from forensic testing of several items, including a garbage bag prosecutors say contained Schunk’s bloody clothes.

Chavez-Nelson is serving life in prison for a fatal shooting outside a Burnsville bar on Sept. 22, 2013. Prosecutors believe Schunk left the bar with Conrade and Chavez-Nelson after that shooting, and was then killed.
