WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) - Two women accused of stabbing another woman in China, Maine, in November have been charged with attempted murder.

Court documents allege that 23-year-old Carissa Butkewicz and 20-year-old Tiffany Glidden, of Waterville, stabbed a woman with a kitchen knife while she was sitting in her car.

The victim, 24-year-old Katheryn Hopkins, was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta in critical condition.

The two women were charged on Friday. It was not immediately known if they were being represented by attorneys.
