HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Brent Marsteller is retiring as president and chief executive officer of Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Marsteller on Friday announced his plans to retire effective at the end of the month. He plans to continue with the hospital as a consultant.

The Huntington native took his current job in October 2000 after leaderships at other hospitals in West Virginia, Ohio and Florida.

Among the hospital’s accomplishments under Marsteller are the construction of the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center and a new wing for patients.
