WARREN, Mich. (AP) - Police in a Detroit suburb are looking for a young man who disappeared after he asked a roommate to temporarily watch his dog.

Jay Ralko’s mother says her 22-year-old son left a note for his roommate, saying he had to take care of an emergency. It was Dec. 10, nearly two weeks ago.

Warren police tell the Detroit Free Press (https://bit.ly/1HfnuUy) there’s an open investigation. Ralko drives a gray Ford Escape. His mother, Sherri Amorello, says Ralko takes medication for his mental health.

She says there are no clues so far from phone or bank activity.

Anyone with information can call police at (586) 574-4700.
