MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A South Carolina man has won a lifetime hunting and fishing license in Vermont.

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department says 60-year-old Gary K. Robertson of Loris, South Carolina, is the winner in a drawing of 4,474 lottery tickets bought this year.

The annual drawing was held this week in Montpelier.

Robertson said winning the lifetime license made his day. He was born in Rutland, and has always returned to Vermont to hunt and fish.

To enter the Vermont’s License of a Lifetime Lottery, add the $2 entry fee when buying a license on the department’s website or apply at locations statewide where licenses are sold. Printable applications are also available on the department’s web site.

There is no limit on the number of lottery tickets a contestant can buy.
