SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - A woman convicted in the stabbing death of her husband in Tombstone will spend the rest of her life in prison.

The Sierra Vista Herald reported (https://bit.ly/1zgZC3C) Friday that a judge sentenced Melissa Moser as dictated by state law for convictions of premeditated murder.

Moser was found guilty of first-degree murder as an accomplice for her role in the July 2013 stabbing of Jonathan Gibson. Prosecutors say Moser’s lover, Antonio Molina, had been lying in wait before stabbing Gibson six times with a large kitchen knife.

Prosecutors say the two were having an affair while Molina spent time with Gibson.

Molina was also found guilty of premeditated murder.

His attorney’s motions for a new trial will be heard in court Dec. 29. Molina is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 31.
