PHOENIX (AP) - Firefighters say a fire ripped through a construction site of an apartment complex early Sunday.

Phoenix fire officials say no one was injured in the fire that broke out shortly before 4 a.m. near Cave Creek Road and Siesta Lane.

Capt. Benjamin Santillan told KNXV-TV (https://bit.ly/1wZNcK5) that crews did evacuate some homes south of the fire because of radiant heat.

Crews brought the fire under control by 5:30 a.m.

The cause is still under investigation.

Fire officials say the entire frame of the property will need to be rebuilt.
