NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (AP) - Jelani Currie came off the Texas A&M-Corpus; Christie bench to knock down seven 3-pointers in the second half and carry the Islanders to a 75-69 come-from-behind win at Cal State-Northridge Saturday night.

Currie knocked down his first 3 to tie the game at 35-35 and his second to make it 38-38. He converted a four-point play to make it 48-46 and gave the Islanders (4-6) the lead for good at 53-50 with a 3. He added a three-point play and three more 3s to maintain the lead.

Currie finished with a career-high 27 points, all in the second half. He was 7 for 7 from long range, 8 of 9 overall from the field, and a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

Stephen Maxwell paced the Matadors (3-9) with 23 points on 8 of 18 shooting from the field and 7 of 7 from the line.
