WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) - State transportation officials say additional roadway lights will be installed on the U.S. Highway 85 and North Dakota Highway 23 corridor near Watford City.

Officials say work will primarily be done off of the roadway, but temporary shoulder and lane closures may be needed at times. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-February.

Officials are recommending that snowmobilers avoid the work area and use an alternate route.

Crews will install roadway lights at the following intersections in the Watford City area:

- U.S. Highway 85 and County Road 30

- U.S. Highway 85B and North Dakota Highway 23

- U.S. Highway 85 and U.S. Highway 85B

- North Dakota Highway 23 and 125th Avenue Northwest

- North Dakota Highway 23 and 26th F Street Northwest
