GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) - A 65-year-old Aurora man who was reported missing has died after his compact sport utility vehicle crashed into Clear Creek near Golden.

The Colorado State Patrol says Danny Sheya died after being pulled from his vehicle on Saturday.

Authorities say Sheya lost control and rolled down an embankment and got the wheels of his SUV stuck in the creek.

The state patrol says it is still trying to determine when the crash occurred after Sheya was reported missing to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
