WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) - State police say four juveniles have been arrested after a reported threat on social media against a western Pennsylvania school.

Police in Washington County said an Instagram post contained pictures of firearms, a masked male holding a rifle and “various comments indicating that a school shooting” might occur Monday at Trinity Middle School.

Troopers said they identified four suspects who are all juvenile male students in the Trinity School District. They have been charged in juvenile court with terroristic threats, unlawful use of a communication device and disorderly conduct. All four are in custody awaiting placement in a juvenile detention facility.

The school district said “a suspect identified as the originator” of the threats had been identified, and expressed thanks to police as well as school officials, parents and students.
