PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Providence police say they have made an arrest in last week’s shooting death of a man outside a market.

Police said in a statement on Monday that 21-year-old Zackery Khamvonga was taken into custody by detectives on Sunday.

No other details were given but the statement said the investigation was continuing.

The victim, 22-year-old Anthony Mitchell, was fatally shot last Wednesday afternoon as he left the Rodriguez Meat Market and Grocery on Hartford Avenue with another man.
