TEMEP, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona State receiver Jaelen Strong will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

Strong made the announcement through a new release issued by the school on Monday.

Strong had an immediate impact on the Sun Devils last season after transferring from Pierce College, finishing with 75 catches for 1,122 yards and seven touchdowns.

This season, Strong had 75 catches for 1,062 yards and 10 touchdowns to become a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award. He also was first-team all-Pac-12 and made five All-America teams.

At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Strong was one of the toughest covers in college football, a physical receiver with a knack for making spectacular catches, including numerous one-handers.
