NEW YORK (AP) - New York Police Commissioner William Bratton says funeral plans have been made for one of the two officers ambushed in a patrol car this weekend.

The wake for Officer Rafael Ramos (rah-fy-EHL’ RAH’-mohs) will be held Friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Christ Tabernacle Church in Glendale, N.Y. His family says Ramos was heavily involved in the church and was a deeply religious man. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

Ramos and his partner Wenjian Liu (WEHN’-jihn LOO’) were shot to death inside a patrol car Saturday afternoon by a 28-year-old who ran into a subway station and killed himself.

Bratton said that Liu’s family was still coming from China and would decide on arrangements after they arrived.
