SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - Harding forward Jacob Gibson has been named the Great American Conference’s player of the week after his performance last week against Northwestern Oklahoma.

The league announced the honor Monday.

The junior from Jonesboro, Arkansas, had 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a 92-72 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma. Among his field goals were six 3-pointers. It was the third time in his career that he made six or more 3-pointers in a game.

The game marked Gibson’s first double-double.

Harding had 21 3-pointers in the game to set a record for the school and the conference.
