NORMAL, Ill. (AP) - Daishon Knight scored 12 points and Illinois State cruised past IPFW 68-43 on Monday.

Illinois State (7-4) ran out to a 9-1 lead after 3 ½ minutes - including a 3-pointer by Knight - and a 10-2 run midway through the half pushed the lead to double digits as the Redbirds built a 37-17 advantage at the break.

The lead reached 30 points six minutes into the second half after an 11-0 run and Illinois State cruised to the win.

Bobby Hunter added 11 points and MiKyle McIntosh had 10 points. Illinois State shot 46 percent from the floor, held a 42-35 advantage on the boards and blocked seven shots, including four by Reggie Lynch.

IPFW (6-5) was paced by Joe Reed’s 12 points, the only Mastodon in double figures. They were just 12 of 42 (29 percent) from the floor and 2 of 14 from beyond the arc.
