ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say a 31-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash west of Rock Springs.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Miguel Ramirez Rodriguez, of Rock Springs, was headed west on Interstate 80 about a mile west of the city when his SUV went off the roadway, spun and struck a cable barrier in the median just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Ramirez Rodriguez was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Troopers are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
