COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a man they say has robbed 16 businesses in the Midlands in a month while wearing a hockey mask.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release that the suspect has robbed at gunpoint Chinese restaurants, dollar stores, convenience stores, check cashing businesses, a hotel and other places.

Lott says the armed robberies have taken place in Columbia, Lexington and Sumter, staring on Nov. 21. The sheriff says the robber has been seen driving away in three different vehicles.

Lott says the man likes to strike in the early evening and usually robs more than one place a day.

No injuries have been reported in the robberies.

Deputies have posted videos of the suspect at https://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates.
