PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gov.-elect Gina Raimondo says she will nominate an executive at Fidelity Investments to be the state’s director of administration.

Raimondo announced Monday she’ll ask the Senate to confirm Michael DiBiase. He’s the senior vice president for state government relations and public affairs at Fidelity and a former chief of staff to Gov. Lincoln Almond.

The governor-elect also named Jonathan Womer to lead the Office of Management and Budget. Womer is the associate vice president for finance and economic analysis for the University of North Carolina system.

Raimondo says the Department of Administration has a key role in developing the state’s budget and in streamlining government operations. She says DiBiase and Womer bring invaluable years of experience and can help her move the state forward.
