LOS ANGELES (AP) - Powerful winds across Southern California have knocked down trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service says northerly winds could gust up to 75 mph in the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties from Sunday night into Monday.

KABC-TV reports a large tree fell on a high-pressure gas line in Calabasas, and that a tree and power lines fell in Ojai Sunday night.

A Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokeswoman said 1100 customers in Chatsworth were without power. Terry Schneider said crews were trying to figure out what caused the outage.
