LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police in Las Vegas say as many as two people may have been wounded and at least one armed assailant is sought after a shooting at an apartment complex near the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Officer Jesse Roybal says investigators are still trying to determine what prompted the gunfire about 1:40 p.m. Monday at a complex off Sierra Vista Drive, and whether anyone else was hurt.

Roybal says two people were taken to nearby Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center.
