OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Authorities in Oklahoma City are investigating a fatal collision between a car and a train.

One person was killed and a second person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a train slammed into a car about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the car was traveling southbound near a busy intersection when the car was hit by a freight train that was traveling northeast.

Police are still investigating the incident. They say they do not know if the driver was trying to beat the train to the intersection or if the car had stalled on the tracks.
