CYNTHIANA, Ky. (AP) - Police say two people are facing charges after a home invasion turned deadly in central Kentucky.

Police told media that two men broke into a home in Harrison County on Monday and began attacking homeowner William D. Jolley, who then shot at the intruders killing one.

Police say the episode began when Jolley invited 27-year-old Raven B. Edwards over. Police say she went outside shortly after arriving and two men - Marcus L. Gross and Larry J. Nolen - came back in with her and attacked Jolley.

After a struggle, Jolley grabbed his gun and began firing, hitting Gross, who later died.

Police say Edwards and Nolan have been charged with robbery and burglary. In addition, Nolan faces an assault charge.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether they had attorneys.
