AFTON, Wyo. (AP) - A 26-year-old man was arrested after a weekend shooting in west-central Wyoming that left a man dead and a woman injured.

The Lincoln County sheriff’s office and Afton police report the shooting happened early Sunday in an apartment above a business.

Responding officers found 22-year-old Tony Hansen of Afton had died. Another victim, 21-year-old Melanie Pumphrey of Alpine, was treated for a gunshot wound at the hospital and released.

Officers arrested Wade Richard Farrow of Afton on charges of murder and aggravated assault. He was expected to make an initial court appearance on Wednesday.

Sheriff Shane Johnson says an altercation preceded the shooting.
