DETROIT (AP) - Local and state authorities are investigating the theft of another ATM from a southeastern Michigan Secretary of State branch.

State police say a minivan drove through the front of the building on Detroit’s southwest side about 2 a.m. Tuesday. The ATM was removed before those involved fled.

Troopers are seeking surveillance video from the building security system. It wasn’t immediately known how much cash was in the machine.

Investigators say they don’t know if it was a random robbery or connected to other recent Secretary of State office ATM thefts. A machine was taken last month during a smash-and-grab on the city’s northwest side, and a similar theft in October at a state office in suburban Dearborn left a building heavily damaged.
