LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - Chicago Bears right guard Kyle Long has been selected to his second Pro Bowl in two NFL seasons.

The son of Hall of Famer Howie Long becomes the first Bears offensive lineman to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons. He is also the first Chicago player to be selected in his first two years since return specialist Devin Hester in 2006 and 2007.

Long was picked in 2013 after being drafted 20th overall and made it again this season, one of the few bright spots on a Chicago team that’s 5-10 heading into its final game at Minnesota. He sat out last week’s loss to Detroit because of a hip injury, but coach Marc Trestman was optimistic Tuesday that Long will be ready to play against the Vikings.
