HONOLULU (AP) - A federal preschool program for Oahu children from low-income families is recruiting for next school year.

Head Start is a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services program administered locally by Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc.

Qualifying families can enroll children ages 3 to 5 for the 2015-16 school year.

The program is located at 84 classrooms on Oahu and offers a variety of preschool options including part-day, full-day and home-based. It calls itself the largest early childhood program in the state.
