CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) - A Washington County man who says he drew inspiration from his late wife has been giving away money and her picture.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG reports (https://bit.ly/1reKxNg ) that 46-year-old Dave Friese and several family members on Saturday gave $20 bills and cards with his wife’s picture to strangers at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville.

The cards carry the title “Kim” and say: “My angel inspired me to give this to you. I hope she inspires you as well. Please share her with those you show kindness toward.”

One of the recipients, Traci Wenger, says she’ll use the money to buy a Christmas gift for a needy child.

Forty-five-year-old Kim Friese died last month after a battle with kidney cancer. Dave Friese says the money comes from her memorial fund.
