WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say a fire that killed two people in a Wilmington home appears to have been intentionally set.

Investigators told local media outlets that the fire appeared to start on the porch of the home around 5 a.m. Tuesday and spread rapidly inside to the front part of the home.

Authorities say three people escaped from the house, but the bodies of two others were found inside. Their names have not been released, and autopsies have been scheduled.

Police say they are investigating the deaths as a homicide. No motive for settling the fire has been released.
