NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Tulane guard Cameron Reynolds will be sidelined at least six weeks after undergoing successful surgery to repair a broken bone in his left hand.

The university, in a news release, said Reynolds suffered the injury to his thumb in the second half of Tulane’s win over Savannah State last Tuesday. The sophomore from Pearland, Texas, was averaging 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13.2 minutes during the Green Wave’s first nine games of the season.

Coach Ed Conroy says Reynolds’ play will be missed but they expect him to return at full strength following his recovery and rehab.
