EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A man who was shot and paralyzed during an attempted armored truck robbery in Eugene was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison.

Now using a wheelchair, Anthony Sam White pleaded guilty in Lane County Circuit Court to robbery.

A guard shot him multiple times during the botched robbery attempt last March at the Santa Clara Square shopping center in Eugene.

The Register-Guard reports (https://is.gd/CUK6Ed ) the two-year sentence will be added to the 17-year term the 29-year-old began serving in September for residential burglaries and another holdup of an armored truck employee at Keizer.

White previously served prison time after a 2005 conviction in Portland on assault, robbery and burglary charges.
