MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a deadly convenience store robbery in Memphis.

Local media report that 44-year-old clerk Mamadou Ngom was shot several times in the chest during the robbery Monday night.

When police arrived, they were met by two customers who discovered Ngom on the floor behind the counter.

He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Authorities say they don’t have a suspect at this time.
