PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a northern New York grand jury has indicted a New York City man and six North Country residents on drug trafficking charges.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Albany says an investigation by federal, state and local law enforcement in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties resulted in the seizure of more than 500 grams of cocaine.

Officials say the seven defendants operated a cocaine ring based out of Plattsburgh.

The suspects include a 31-year-old Bronx man and six local residents, five from Keeseville and one from Plattsburgh.
