NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Police in Norman say a truck and a car collided on a state highway after one of the vehicles apparently crossed the center line, leaving three people dead.

Norman Police Capt. David Teuscher tells the Norman Transcript (https://bit.ly/1JQXWkW ) that it appears one vehicle on Highway 9 struck the other head-on. He said authorities hadn’t yet determined a cause of the accident Wednesday afternoon.

The male drivers of the car and truck died at the scene. A female passenger in the truck was taken to a hospital and died there. Authorities haven’t released their names.

Teuscher said people in a car following one of the vehicles saw the collision and called authorities. Traffic was diverted around the wreck for several hours.
