BOSTON (AP) - It looks like it’s going to be a warm, wet and windy Christmas in Massachusetts - but certainly not a white one.

The National Weather Service says a flood watch will be in effect for portions of southern New England from 4 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday morning. Forecasters expect 1-2 inches of rain - and even 3 inches in some areas - to fall during the evening and early morning hours. Thunderstorms are also possible.

A wind advisory is also in effect for southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island with gusts of up to 45 mph.

Forecasters say temperatures could reach 60 degrees in Boston on Christmas Day.

No unusual holiday travel delays were being reported in Massachusetts Wednesday, and there were few delays or cancellations at Boston’s Logan International Airport.
